The Completed Space

The Completed Space

There is nothing quite like restoring original 1800’s sandstone to ensure a return to the charm and class of modern century design – which is quite literally where this project found its feet.

Transformed from a site containing three apartments, this project was one we approached with great enthusiasm. Inside, the floorboards were salvaged from the original house then re-laid and polished, while in the garden an impressive water feature was crafted from sandstone blocks excavated from the site. Upstairs an extra mezzanine floor has been added to bring natural light and maximise space in keeping with the building’s heritage status. A bonus for us was the positive critique we received by a respected heritage advocate.
